Volunteers

Teamwork makes the dream work: Our volunteers are the backbone of our charity

We would love to have more volunteers join us in supporting all aspects of the Chandler Club's operations, as it will enable us to open on Mondays and offer more activities to our members.

We are seeking out friendly individuals to drive our minibuses, and/or assist with serving tea, coffee, and lunch, enabling us to provide a warm welcome to a large number of members throughout the week, from Monday to Friday!

Please note that all volunteer positions are subject to a successful DBS check.

What does volunteering at the Chandler Club involve?

Minibus drivers

The Chandler Club is looking for friendly volunteer drivers to help with our daily member transport services. We have two minibuses that run in the morning at 9.30am and in the afternoon starting at 3pm.

A D1 licence is not required, but you will receive comprehensive training. Your normal manual car licence is sufficient. You can choose to help with either the morning or afternoon run, no need to commit to both.

Interested in lending a hand? Get in touch with us to schedule a meeting with our manager and take a test-run with one of our experienced volunteer drivers.

At the Club

We are always in need of some extra help at the Club to assist with serving tea, cofee, and meals, providing support to our members, and helping them board and exit the bus. Whether you can dedicate a few hour, a full day, or even a few days, the decision is entirely up to you.

If this opportunity interests you, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us to discuss your avauailability. Afterwards, feel free to drop by and see firsthand how everything works.

Activities

Excited about the idea of expanding our activities for our members, we are looking for volunteers to join our manager in organising these fun events. Keen to lend a hand? Reach out to our manager to chat about how you can get involved and where we could use your help with activities.

Fundraising

As a registered charity, we rely on fundraising and donations to support our club's operations. While our trustees and staff work tirelessly to raise funds, having dedicated volunteers like you assisting with fundraising efforts will allow us to expand the range of activities we offer to our members.

Excited to lend a hand? Please contact our manager to discuss how you can contribute and where we could use your support with fundraising.
